Even with such a lofty maximum height the 5-section tripod is relatively lightweight (under 6 lb) thanks to its carbon-fiber construction. The 100% carbon fiber leg tubes are 50% lighter than metal yet every bit as durable and rigid. The flip-lock legs feature a unique internal gasket design that keeps dirt and grit from getting into the leg sections. The included removable ball head features a quick-release plate and a 90° groove for easy switching between landscape and portrait orientation.
